SteraMist™ Binary Ionization Technology®

SteraMist™ The ‘Virus’ Technology That Kills Coronavirus Plus Lots of Other Pathogens

TOMI Environmental Solutions product, SteraMist product kills pathogens—safely and effectively. Not just the CORONAVIRUS: but also Ebola, MERS, C. diff spores, sepsis, norovirus, anthrax, Staphylococcus, MRSA, Legionnaire’s and Zika. The kill list also includes food borne illness such as E. coli and salmonella and it’s the world’s safest natural sanitizer. We are a STERAMIST provider to Northeast Indiana and partnered with TOMI Environmental Solutions to rapidly deploy and aid in reducing the spread of Coronavirus.

Simple. Safe. Effective. Fast.

Tomi’s lead product, SteraMist, is a propriety two-step process that aerosolizes and activates a 7.8% hydrogen peroxide solution, along with a “secret sauce,” producing a fine aqueous mist. You probably have a bottle of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) in your medicine cabinet; it’s the world’s safest natural sanitizer.

SteraMist’s hydrogen peroxide concentration produces a highly effective, germ-killing aerosol. SteraMist is unique in that the mist—more like a fog—”atomizes” the liquid and quickly covers hard to reach surfaces, with the same velocity and characteristics of a gas. This works faster and with less saturation than ordinary sprays.

Speed and portability are primary advantages: SteraMist can clean a room in minutes. The SteraMist hospital “terminal clean” protocol is 55 minutes. Competitive products, we believe, are generally far more caustic or take up to eight hours. All are superior to bleach hand scrubbing.

SteraMist is proven to kill all known bacteria, spores and inactivate all known viruses on surface by a “six log” or 99.9999% reduction, the highest standard.

Every year, the news is filled with factual stories about deadly viruses, massive outbreaks, unsafe hospitals and inadequate public safety measures. There are nasty diseases and infections out there that can spread if left unchecked. There are methods to limit the proliferation of infectious diseases, bacterial infections, harmful fungi and other hazards such as washing one’s hands to prevent disease transfer.

Such a system would have scores of uses and innumerable benefits – hospitals could quickly prepare a room after treating an Ebola patient, airports could prevent diseases from traveling abroad, schools could prevent outbreaks from their equipment or locker rooms.

SteraMist disinfecting and sterilization technology

TOMI’s SteraMist™ Binary Ionization Technology®

This system does exist in a new technology from TOMI™ Environmental Solutions, Inc. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently registered TOMI’s SteraMist™ Binary Ionization Technology® (BIT™) for use as a hospital-healthcare disinfectant cleaner that can effectively kill a number of harmful microorganisms.

How does it work?

SteraMist™ BIT™ produces a Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) derived from the activation of a low concentration of hydrogen peroxide solution which creates an Activated Ionized Hydrogen Peroxide (AIHP). The AIHP is released as a fog or mist that leaves no residue – in fact, its only byproducts are water and oxygen. As a handheld point-and-spray disinfectant system, the SteraMist™ Surface Unit is ideal for fast deployment, portability easy storage. For high-touch surface area treatment, the process can take just as little as 7 minutes. The SteraMist™ Environmental System disinfects surfaces 2 to 3 times faster than similar products and is scalable to treat multiple surfaces simultaneously.

Depending on room size and configuration, the entire process lasts around 75 minutes, as compared to Activated Hydrogen Peroxide (AHP) at 2 to 3 hours, Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor (HPV) at a minimum of 5 hours, or Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VHP), which can take a minimum of over 6 hours before re-entry. As it stands, hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) are a common issue worldwide. SteraMist™ BIT™ offers a way to prevent these potentially deadly pathogens from spreading to hospital patrons and staff.

SteraMist Is Perfect For Any Space Requiring Disinfectant Cleaning

However, hospitals are not the only area that stands to gain from this product. Any space that requires disinfecting (read: basically all of them, at one time or another) can benefit from a fast-acting, highly-effective solution. That means schools can take care of outbreaks immediately, gyms can disinfect equipment and locker rooms on a daily basis and offices can safely clean their facilities without damaging computers and other equipment. For that matter, cars, buses, ambulances and other vehicles can also take advantage of SteraMist™ BIT™.

What do we do for you?

We can set up a Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, reoccurring schedule or schedule As Needed.

The TOMI Service Network (TSN) provides two-stage rapid disinfectant cleaning as a consistent preventative measure, as well as a corrective disinfection to sanitized areas. A SteraMist™ application eliminates bacteria on hard non-porous surfaces, and biologically deactivates problem microorganisms.
